Only experience can teach us the proper time and place to find our precious weeds in surroundings, because one place can be a lot different from another. Altitude, local climate and annual changes in snowcover can shift the right time to harvest more than a month.
My mentor taught me this trick: sow the difficult ones in your garden, only a few of them, just to have a quick look every day to use as reference. It works, I can tell you!
That’s how it started the next step of my adventure: seed propagation. For some plants could be little tricky, but nothing is impossible. And now a can grow my favorite roots and bulbs, without depleting the environment.
I will post some plant-profiles in the next days, to help new wildcrafters in their first steps.
Stay tuned!
